In the bustling streets of JP Nagar 8th in Bangalore, India, there are unsung heroes who tirelessly dedicate their lives to the welfare of animals. For over 15 years, a dedicated cow rescuer and a compassionate dog rescuer have been the beacon of hope for countless animals in need, facing diverse challenges with unwavering determination.
Mrs. Veena Keshava Murthy also dedicated towards stray dogs in serving nutritious food during morning and evening hours and rescuing street side lying unfortunate cows from injured cows and desperately given immediate medical treatment by herself and look after them visiting every day to the where ever they are in the place.
Madam Veena also runs two charitable foundations called Vaathsalya charitable Trust and Veena Keshava Murthy foundation.
Affinity for animals was ingrained in him from a young age. Witnessing the plight of abandoned and injured cows left a profound impact on him, inspiring him to take action. With a heart full of empathy and a spirit of altruism, he embarked on a journey to become a guardian angel for these gentle creatures. His selfless dedication has earned him the respect and admiration of the community, inspiring others to join his noble mission.
At the age of 26, he, along with a like-minded friend, founded the “Humanity Understanding Trust” in Chennai. They provided fresh food to the impoverished and reached out to elderly individuals confined to their huts, offering assistance to those who had been overlooked and neglected.
His initiatives, “Collar is my Right” for stray dog rescue and “Food in a Bag” for those requiring provisions, gained widespread acclaim during his tenure at Lions Club Bangalore Jayanagar Club in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Serving as the Club President, he dedicated himself to these renowned services. Later, driven by his passion for animal welfare, he transitioned to establishing a Goshala to provide nourishment and care for stray cows, embarking on a new chapter of service.
